getting caught up here quickly -
want to share a very cool quote I heard yesterday (4.23.09) on NPR last night. A guy who is working for the website Recovery.gov (tracking how the stimulus pkg. $ is being spent) commented on how "This is not just Government 2.0, but Democracy 2.0".
Music to a Social Studies Teacher's ears! He is speaking about the transparency of this admin. and the plans to make the Fed. more transparent - even in the office of Budget Management. Exciting stuff.

- Mrs. Harvieux have been teaching at Chaska High School as a social studies teacher since 2005. Prior to coming to Chaska, she taught at Wayzata High School for six years. She has also taught and coached middle and high school students in California, Washington, DC, Wisconsin and New Zealand. Mrs. Harvieux's educational background includes earning a B.S. in Broad Field Social Studies - Middle School/Secondary Education with minors in both Health and Coaching from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls (1996). She earned her M.Ed. in Social Studies Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (2002). In addition, Mrs. Harvieux has taken additional classes in counseling, diversity and social studies education.

Not exactly about the Recovery.org, but I love the White House Official Photo stream on Flickr. Makes everything seem more real and homeier.
